A little Backstory

Hello All! My name is Natalie, and I am the owner and creator of Nat Just Cakes! 

I began decorating cakes when I was seventeen years old after visiting a cousin who showed me how to pipe my very first buttercream rose, and from then on I was hooked. 

That passion led me to study Bakery and Pastry Management in college, where I earned my Associate in Science degree while gaining hands on experience in professional kitchens. Along the way I worked in a Publix supermarket bakery,  and later at a custom cake shop in Winter Park, Florida, where I completed my college internship and continued working after graduation.

Over the years, I continued refining my craft while creating cakes that celebrated some of life’s most meaningful moments. But it wasn’t until 2023, while searching for a creative niche that my best friend finally convinced me to read a book called A Court of Thorns and Roses that I found inspiration in an unexpected place: Books. 

As an avid reader myself, I began designing cakes inspired by the books, characters, and worlds that captured my imagination. What started as a creative experiment quickly grew into something much bigger. Today, Nat Just Cakes has become known for bringing books and stories to life through dessert, particularly within the romance and fantasy reader community.

As more books continue making their way from page to screen, one of my biggest dreams is to collaborate with publishers, studios, and event teams to create cakes and desserts for book launches, premieres, and adaptations, celebrating the stories that inspire readers around the world.

After all, they’re not just cake, they’re edible art!
